


A challenge like no other!
Your chance to work with the world’s first protected species – the Grey seal and also the Common (Harbour) Seal, on their journey through Rescue, Rehabilitation and Release!
Previous experience working with animals preferable but not essential. Full training will be given to successful applicants.
We value our Day Volunteers and are looking for not only animal handlers but Rescue Drivers, Fundraisers, writers, carpenters, electricians... You name it we need it! A whole host of other skills are required from Artists to Zanie Sky Divers!
Resident Volunteers
NOTE: Our residency volunteer programme requires a minimum of a 3 month commitment.
Minimum stay:
Work schedule:
- 5 days per week
- 9 hour workday with a break
Duties include:
- Preparing food
- Assist feeding and tubing
- Cleaning wounds
- Cleaning of intensive care units
- Cleaning of Rehab pools
- Tours of the sanctuary
- Public talks
- Assisting with rescues and releases
- Fundraising
- Answering phones.
Essential Items
- Waterproof trousers
- Boots/Wellies
- Raincoat
- Alarm Clock
- Work clothing
- Toiletries
- Optional-books, laptop,dvds.
Resident volunteers have shared accommodation and are responsible for the upkeep of the premises.
Volunteers must have an up to date TB vaccination as well as police clearance from their home country before their arrival to the ISS.
